What drives Mega Evolution card prices?
Rarity does most of the work. 10 of the top 20 Mega Evolution cards are Special Illustration Rare, and 4 more are Illustration Rare. Higher rarities turn up far less often in packs, and in modern sets they carry the full-art and alternate illustrations collectors chase, so a single copy costs more to find. At the other end, no Common, Uncommon or Rare card in the set costs more than £30.00 with us.
| Rarity | Cards | Typical price | Price range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mega Hyper Rare | 2 | £152.50 | £120.00 to £185.00 |
| Special Illustration Rare | 10 | £52.00 | £22.00 to £145.00 |
| Illustration Rare | 22 | £6.00 | £4.00 to £24.00 |
| Ultra Rare | 22 | £5.00 | £3.00 to £22.00 |
| Double Rare | 10 | £2.25 | £1.95 to £4.00 |
| Rare | 13 | £1.95 | £1.95 to £5.00 |
| Common | 69 | £1.60 | £1.50 to £30.00 |
| Uncommon | 44 | £1.60 | £1.50 to £7.00 |
"Typical price" is the median of each card's dearest finish within that rarity.
Finish. 110 Mega Evolution cards come in both a normal and a reverse holo version, and the reverse holo is typically £0.50 more than the normal print of the same card. The table shows each card's dearest finish. Not sure which is which? Our holo vs reverse holo guide explains how to tell them apart.
These are shop prices, not valuations. Every figure on this page is what Iconic Trading Cards charged on 29 September 2026. Other shops and marketplaces will differ, our prices are reviewed and change over time, and nothing here is a prediction of what any card will be worth. Card condition matters too: where we sell a copy in lesser condition it is listed separately at its own price and is left out of this guide.
