About Perfect Order Special Illustration Rares

What is a Special Illustration Rare?

Special Illustration Rares (SIRs) are secret rares, numbered above the 88-card main set. Each one shows a Pokémon ex or a Trainer in full, edge-to-edge artwork — usually a whole scene — with a textured foil finish. To spot one, check the rarity symbol at the bottom of the card: an SIR carries two gold stars, while a single gold star marks an Illustration Rare.

Perfect Order's SIRs in our range include Meowth ex 121/088, Rosa's Encouragement 123/088 and Mega Zygarde ex 120/088. The Pokémon Company does not publish official pull rates, and SIRs are among the hardest cards in a booster to find, which is why most collectors buy the exact card as a single.

Delivery and more Perfect Order cards

Singles are sold raw and ungraded, every card is condition-checked before it ships, and they go anywhere in the UK for a flat £1.75, however many cards are in your order. See the full Perfect Order card list, or the set's Perfect Order chase cards and Illustration Rares; every Special Illustration Rare across sets is in Special Illustration Rare Pokémon cards.

Frequently asked questions

How many Special Illustration Rares are in Perfect Order?

We list 6 Special Illustration Rares from Perfect Order, numbered 118 to 123, above the 88-card main set. Each is a single listing, priced and stocked on its own.

What is the most valuable Perfect Order Special Illustration Rare?

Of the SIRs we list, the dearest is Meowth ex 121/088 at £85 (out of stock when checked). Prices checked 8 October 2026; they follow the market, so each card's page always shows the live price.

How can I tell a Special Illustration Rare from an Illustration Rare?

Look at the rarity symbol in the bottom corner of the card. A Special Illustration Rare has two gold stars and is usually a Pokémon ex or a Trainer; an Illustration Rare has one gold star and shows an ordinary Pokémon in full artwork.
