Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration: UK release date, products and how to actually get it
The Pokémon TCG's 30th anniversary set, 30th Celebration, launches worldwide on 16 September 2026 — the first Pokémon expansion ever to release globally on the same day. There are no booster boxes this time: packs come only inside sealed products such as the £49.99 Elite Trainer Box, with further product waves running into early December. Demand is the fiercest since the 25th anniversary, so at Iconic Trading Cards limited allocations go to our Iconic loyalty tier first, then to a free draw among email subscribers — never first-come-first-served.

What is the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration set?
30th Celebration is a special anniversary expansion of just over 160 cards, and every single card in it — right down to the basic Energy — is holofoil and carries the 30th anniversary logo. Each English booster pack holds five foil cards plus a foil basic Energy and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live.
Two things make it a collector's set rather than a competitive one. First, every pack includes one of 30 numbered Pikachu rare cards, each with unique artwork — a full subset to chase. Second, it introduces a brand-new rarity, the Futuristic rare, illustrated by Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN, who also created the set's key visual.
There is also a Classic Collection: 30 reprinted cards spanning the game's history from Base Set to the modern day, echoing what the 25th anniversary set Celebrations did in 2021. If you want to see where this sits in the wider timeline, our sets in release order guide covers the full Pokémon run.
When does 30th Celebration release in the UK?
The UK gets 30th Celebration on 16 September 2026, the same day as everywhere else — The Pokémon Company is calling it the first expansion ever to launch simultaneously worldwide. The lineup then rolls out in waves: the Booster Bundle and Mini Tins on 2 October, the Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks on 30 October, and the premium products — the Ditto Premium Collection, Figure Collections and Ultra-Premium Collection — on 6 November. A few items, including the Binder Collection, are listed by retailers for dates into early December, and those dates have moved around, so treat them as provisional.
Iconic Trading Cards dispatches pre-orders on or around the official release date, so paid-up orders arrive at launch rather than weeks later.
What products are in the lineup, and what do they cost?
Asmodee UK, the official distributor, has published RRPs for much of the lineup: the Elite Trainer Box at £49.99 — in line with other recent Mega Evolution-era ETBs — plus the ex Boxes at £21.99, the Poster Collection at £19.99, the Binder Collection at £37.99, the Tech Sticker Collection at £16.99 and the Mini Tins at £12.99. For the rest, US prices are the best guide we have; treat them as a guide rather than a straight conversion.
| Product | Packs inside | US MSRP | UK price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elite Trainer Box | 9 | $49.99 | £49.99 RRP |
| Ultra-Premium Collection (Day / Night) | 29 + 1 Classic Collection pack | $179.99 | TBC |
| Ditto Premium Collection | 8 | $39.99 | TBC |
| Booster Bundle | 6 | $26.94 | TBC |
| Binder Collection | 5 | $31.99 | £37.99 RRP |
| Figure Collection (Mew / Mewtwo) | 5 | $29.99 | TBC |
| Pokémon ex Box (Sylveon / Greninja) | 4 | $21.99 | £21.99 RRP |
| Poster Collection | 3 | $14.99 | £19.99 RRP |
| Tech Sticker Collection | 3 | $14.99 | £16.99 RRP |
| Mini Tins (10 designs) | 2 | $9.99 | £12.99 RRP |
| Battle Deck (Espeon ex / Umbreon ex) | 60-card all-foil deck | $19.99 | TBC |
The Ultra-Premium Collection is the headline item: Pikachu ex paired with Espeon ex (Day) or Umbreon ex (Night), a playmat, sleeves and deck box, 29 booster packs, and the only place you'll find the special Classic Collection pack containing three of those reprints. The standard Elite Trainer Box remains the sensible core purchase — our booster box vs ETB guide explains the value maths for normal sets.
Why are there no 30th Celebration booster boxes?
Because it's a special set, and special sets don't get them. As with Celebrations in 2021, the packs are only available inside the products above — no loose packs, no traditional 36-pack booster box. The six-pack Booster Bundle is the closest substitute, and the nine-pack ETB is the biggest single hit of packs outside the premium boxes. Anyone offering you a "30th Celebration booster box" is selling something that does not officially exist — worth reading our guide on spotting fake sealed product before the launch rush.
How hard will it be to get at RRP — honestly?
Hard, at least at launch. Pokémon Center's pre-order windows strained under traffic, UK retailer allocations are limited, and presale ETBs have already changed hands at around $120 — roughly two and a half times MSRP — on the secondary market. Expect UK presale listings well beyond £49.99 too.
Our honest advice: don't pay scalper prices in week one. The lineup rolls out in waves for nearly three months, restocks are normal for a set The Pokémon Company clearly wants everywhere for its anniversary, and the 25th anniversary set became far easier to find after its initial frenzy. Patience has a good track record here.
How do Iconic's subscriber draws work?
Where our allocation of a product is limited, Iconic Trading Cards doesn't do first-come-first-served — no 9am scramble, no bots winning. Instead, allocation goes to our Iconic loyalty tier first, and the rest is drawn among our email subscribers. Entry to the draw is free, there's nothing to buy to qualify, and winners simply pay normal retail price for their 30th Celebration pre-order. Miss out on one draw and you're automatically in the pot for the next.
Standard UK delivery is £3.95 and free over £50 — which a single ETB at £49.99 sails close to, so most 30th Celebration orders will ship free.
Frequently asked questions
Is 30th Celebration the same as the Celebrations set from 2021?
No. Celebrations was the 25th anniversary set, released in October 2021. 30th Celebration is a brand-new expansion for the franchise's 30th birthday in 2026, with its own card list, a new Futuristic rare rarity and a fresh Classic Collection of reprints. The two sets share a similar structure — small special set, no booster boxes — but the cards are different.
Will there be a 30th Celebration booster box?
No traditional 36-pack booster box has been announced. As with previous anniversary sets, the booster packs are only available inside sealed products such as the Elite Trainer Box, Booster Bundle, tins and collection boxes. The six-pack Booster Bundle is the closest thing to buying loose packs.
How much is the 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box in the UK?
The UK RRP is £49.99, in line with other recent Elite Trainer Boxes. It contains nine booster packs, an illustration-rare-style Nidorina promo, 65 sleeves and the usual accessories. Presale listings well above that figure are scalper pricing, not the real price.
Do all 30th Celebration products come out on 16 September?
No. The Elite Trainer Box, ex Boxes, Poster Collection and several smaller collections land on 16 September 2026, but the Booster Bundle and Mini Tins follow on 2 October, the Battle Decks on 30 October, and the premium products — including the Ultra-Premium Collection — on 6 November, with further items listed into early December.
How do I enter Iconic's allocation draw?
Join our email list — entry is free, and there is nothing to buy first. When a limited allocation arrives, our Iconic loyalty tier gets first access at retail price, and the rest is drawn among subscribers rather than sold first-come-first-served; winners pay normal retail price. If you don't win one draw you stay in the pot for the next.
What are the chase cards in 30th Celebration?
Early attention is on the new Futuristic rare cards illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN, the 30 numbered Pikachu rares (one in every pack), and the Classic Collection reprints of famous cards from Base Set onwards. It is too early for reliable single prices, so treat any presale valuations with scepticism.
